




BCRA Midgets Revving Into Sierra For Third Stop at the Red Clay of
Placerville This Saturday, June 21

The famed Bay Cities Racing Association 2008 Midget series
continues the Dirt portion of its 65th season of racing this Saturday, June 21
at the smooth and fast 1/4-mile Placerville Speedway in Placerville, CA at the
gorgeous El Dorado County Fairgrounds.
Among the stellar entries will be 17-year-old reigning BCRA champion Justin
Grant of nearby Ione wheeling the #17 TNT Racesports Dave & Wendy Thurston

King’s Speedway in Hanford, 7-time BCRA champion Floyd Alvis, “The Ageless
Wonder” piloting his #18 Champion Automotive Stealth/Esslinger “Green Beret,”
1999 BCRA Midget champion Matt Streeter aboard his #14jr Spike/Ed Pink Chevy,
2007 third-place driver David Prickett of Fresno campaigning the Neverlift
Motorsports #15 Stealth/Arias, three-time BCRA champion Glenn Carson manning
Doug Bock’s #26 Spike/Esslinger, multiple-time BCRA feature victor Jimmy
Christian aboard the #10 Bay Muffler-Walker Racing Stealth/Esslinger, current
BCRA points leader Scott Nail piloting Stu Donaldson’s #8x Stealth/Pontiac,

campaigning his own #62 TCR/Pontiac.
Manning the Lucas Oil/Incredisoles Glen Crye Racing #15 Stealth/Brayton Ford,
19-year-old Quinton Crye will be seeking a return to trip to Sierra Gold, having
captured his first career Midget victory at the famous red-clay ¼-mile oval in
May.
Other expected entries include West Coast Midget veteran Robby Flock, who won
earlier this year at Placerville in the #19s Mike Sala Spike/Bob Wirth Mopar,
15-year-old Kyle Larson making his second Midget appearance aboard Cliff
Blackwell’s #27b Stealth/Gaerte, three-time BCRA feature winner Chris Rahe
aboard the Jon Rahe #3 Goodwin Farms Stealth/Fontana, Auburn’s Dave Stoltz in
his #77 Pacific Flyer/Rane Rover V6, 1997 Silver Dollar Speedway 410 Sprint Car
track champion Rick Haugh aboard father Richards #5h Maxim/Gaerte and Pete Davis
in his #00 Beast/Esslinger.
The race will be the fifth of ten total dirt races, and third of four at John
Padjen’s wonderful Placerville Speedway.
Through eight races, Scott Nail leads the BCRA Midget points over Foster and
Alvis.
Joining the Midgets on Saturday will be the BCRA Midget Lites, Wingless Sprints
and Pure Stocks.
